I would like, on behalf of all of us, to say goodbye to Tom
who is unable to continue his work for the group. I am taking over for now. Our group is driven by the membership, admins are here to ensure that things run smoothly. The role of founder will rotate among admins, we all feel more comfortable with that. Contributors will now be 'in charge' of the favs section: it will be their responsibility to propose favs which will be voted upon by contributors and the rest of the admins. We are starting with a clean slate and a new team of contributors which we are going to rebuild. Any member interested in being a contributor please send a note .
We propose to make other changes too, in particular we would like to make more explicit the notion of fine art photography which we as a group endorse.
All this will be done in the next few days. Meanwhile please join us in wishing Tom all the very best for the future and in thanking him for bringing this group into existence.
As a group we have a fantastic gallery, a legacy from the sustained effort of the old club. Tom and our erstwhile co-founders Anmari
and Bea 
have had no small role to play in the making of 
working first for the club and later for the group when the transition was made.We are confident
will continue to grow. For that we need you, the members, to take an active role. To quote co-founder Ron 
"never forget that this group (like any group) exists solely because you offer your work and your vision to give it substance. Without you, this entire endeavor is simply an empty waste of bandwidth".I look forward to a renewed and re-energised
